Leesa's Latest Make - Anna Maria Parry

You know that feeling when a fabric just catches your eye and you instantly start imagining what you could make with it?
That’s exactly what happened with the amazing Perennial Borders fabric by Anna Maria Parry.
The colours. The details. The possibilities.
I could already picture how beautiful it would look made into a pair of sneakers, and from there the whole idea started to come together.
For the sneakers, I fussy cut the fabric to make the most of those gorgeous details and colours. I added soft velvet laces, black soles and beautiful plum stitching, and I absolutely love how all those little choices work together.
But why stop at the sneakers?
I had a black denim jacket that was just waiting for something special, so I upcycled it with the same fabric. Against the black denim, those incredible colours really pop. Suddenly, a simple jacket and a pair of handmade sneakers became a completely unique look.
And that’s one of my favourite things about making.
You can start with a fabric you love and turn it into something that feels completely you.
Maybe it’s a pair of sneakers. Maybe you add a matching bag. Maybe there’s an old denim jacket in your wardrobe that could be given a whole new life.
There really are so many possibilities.
With Sneaker Stitch, you can take your favourite fabric and make it into your very own pair of sneakers, using your own sewing machine. We provide the tools and everything you need to bring your idea together.
You don’t need to find the perfect pair of sneakers in a shop.
You can make them.
And when you choose the fabric, the colours, the stitching and all those beautiful little details yourself, you end up with something nobody else has.
Something creative.
Something handmade.
Something uniquely you.
