Have You Seen Bree’s Amazing Liberty Sneakers?

Oh my goodness.....  Can we just take a moment for these shoes?

For those of you who don’t know Bree, she’s part of the wonderful BERNINA team here in Australia, and she created this incredible pair of sneakers to wear at BERNINA Academy 2026 for the launch of the new BERNINA x Liberty collaboration.

And I don’t know about you, but that little blue meadow has completely won my heart.

Seriously, take a closer look at the photos because there is so much detail to discover.

Bree has done the most amazing machine needle stitching across these shoes, turning a pair of sneakers into a little wearable work of art. The closer you look, the more you notice. The stitching, the colours, the Liberty details and, of course, those gorgeous blue flowers.

It’s such a brilliant example of what can happen when sewing escapes the sewing room and finds its way onto something completely unexpected.

BERNINA x Liberty for 2026

And these fabulous shoes couldn't have appeared at a more perfect time.

For 2026, BERNINA has collaborated with iconic British design house Liberty to create two limited-edition machines, bringing together BERNINA's Swiss engineering with Liberty's unmistakable love of colour, pattern and beautiful design.

The collaboration includes the B 495 Liberty Edition and the B 580 Liberty Edition, each dressed in its own Liberty print.

The B 495 features Velasco Meadow, while the B 580 features the beautiful Glen Lyon Blooms design. Both machines also include 32 exclusive Liberty decorative stitches, giving Liberty lovers even more ways to bring those beautiful details into their sewing.

And for the embroiderers amongst us, the B 580 takes things even further with a collection of exclusive Liberty embroidery designs.

Honestly, BERNINA and Liberty together feels like a pretty irresistible combination.

But back to those shoes...

Bree, you have absolutely outdone yourself.

Make sure you zoom in on the photos and have a proper look at the machine stitching because the detail really is incredible.
